Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and/or phone number, depending on how you sign up. If you register with email and password, we store a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile photo).
• Optional profile information — date of birth, any previous IELTS scores you enter, your target band, and your preferred AI tutor chat style.
• Content you submit — the essays and writing practice you write, any Task 1 chart or diagram images you upload, and the messages you send to the AI tutor chat.
• Usage and billing data — your subscription plan and status, essay and usage counts, and payment records handled by our payment provider.

How we use your information

• To evaluate your writing and generate band scores and feedback.
• To personalize your feedback and study plan using your writing history (your skill profile), so guidance reflects your progress over time.
• To manage your account, subscription, and usage limits.
• To send you transactional emails (such as account and payment notices) and product announcements.

AI processing and service providers

To deliver the core service, your content is shared with the providers below strictly to perform these functions:

• AI evaluation — the text of your essays and the relevant context is sent to our AI model provider (OpenRouter, which routes to large language models such as OpenAI's GPT-4o) to generate scores and feedback. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your essays that you do not want processed this way.
• Image storage — chart and diagram images you upload are stored using Google Cloud Storage.
• Payments — card payments are processed by Click (click.uz). We never see or store your card details.
• Email — transactional and announcement emails are sent through Resend.
• Authentication — Google (if you choose Google sign-in) and Telegram (if you link your Telegram account).

Public essay showcase

With your permission, essays with an overall band of 6.0 or higher may be published to our public Essay Library as learning examples. These are published anonymously — your name is not attached. If you would like an essay of yours removed from the library, message us on Telegram (@TechSunnatillo) or use the in-app feedback form and we will take it down.

Learning centres

If you study through a learning centre — because the centre created your account, or you accepted a centre's invite — that centre's teachers and owners can see your essays, feedback and scores, your progress, your homework submissions and your vocabulary-set results. They cannot see your password or any payment details. If you already had a Writify account, nothing is shared with a centre until you accept its invite. To leave a centre, ask the centre or contact us.

Telegram

If you link your Telegram account, we store your Telegram user ID, username and language so our bot can send you notifications (for example, when an essay is graded or your Pro pass is about to end) and daily vocabulary quizzes. You can turn notifications off in Settings, or disconnect Telegram at any time.

AI apps you connect

You can connect Writify to an AI assistant you use, such as Claude or ChatGPT (see writify.uz/connect). When you do, that app can ask Writify for the things you allowed on the consent screen: your band and progress, saving essays and words to your account, and grading essays with your plan. Writify sends it your own data only, and only when it asks during your chats. What you write in that chat is handled by the AI app under its own privacy policy. You can disconnect an app at any time in Settings; its access stops immediately.

Data retention and your choices

We keep your essays and feedback so you can review your history and so your study plan stays personalized. You can edit your details in Settings at any time. To delete your account, go to Settings → Delete account. You'll be signed out, and your account and associated data (including essays, feedback, and vocabulary) are erased from our database after 7 days. Signing in again within those 7 days cancels the deletion.

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. These are necessary for the app to function.

Children

Writify is intended for exam candidates and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
